• ARMA International - Association of Records Managers and Administrators, Inc. A professional association of over 10,000 records and information management professionals in the United States, Canada, and around the world.
• Library of Congress Provides a wide array of information regarding its collections and services. American Memory consists of primary source and archival materials relating to American culture and history. The National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections (NUCMC) features direct access to its online cataloging of archival collections.
• Midwest Archives Conference (MAC) MAC is the nation's largest regional professional association for archivists, founded in 1972. The MAC region consists of the thirteen heartland states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
• National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Government agency responsible for overseeing the management of the records of the federal government.
• Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers Library of Congress digitized U.S. Newspapers from 1863-1922.
• Repositories of Primary Sources A listing of over 5000 websites describing holdings of manuscripts, archives, rare books, historical photographs, and other primary sources for the research scholar.
