Money Smart Week begins April 20

The NDSU Libraries are taking part in Money Smart Week, held April 20th-27th. Money Smart Week is a public awareness program designed to help people better manage their personal finances. Organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the NDSU Libraries have joined together with hundreds of other organizations around the country to stress the importance of financial literacy.

Bethany Vincent from Bison Connection will be giving a presentation about student loans, debt, and what financial steps students should take after college. Her presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd at 4pm in the Weber Reading Room of the Main Library.

Record Keepers, LLC will be donating their document shredding services from 10am to 3pm on Thursday, April 25th. Their truck will be parked outside the Main Library and collection bins will be available at all branch libraries. Record Keepers representatives will be on site to answer any questions about the shredding process. They ask that people limit what they bring to 3 or 4 banker boxes (approx. 100 lbs.) and 1 computer hard drive.

All events are free and open to the public. For more information please contact Alicia Kubas at 1-8888 or Megan Richardson at 1-8395.
