The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to present the 2002 edition of this beautifully done calendar prepared by the new German historical organization in Nurenberg, Germany: Historische Forschungsverein der Deutschen aus Russland. Two previous calendars have been done in 2000 and 2001.

Staff of the Germans from Russia Heritage Collection has translated the text from German to English for each of the months of the 2002 calendar which is included as a supplement.

The 2002 calendar includes color portraits of the following persons famous in the history and culture of the Germans from Russia: 1) Catherine the Great (1729-1796); 2) Karl Friedrich Velden (1730-1801) born in St. Petersburg; 3) Friedrich Joseph Haass (1780-1853); born in Münstereifel; 4) Johannes Cornies (1789-1848) born in Bärwald/Danzig; 5) Karl Claus (1797-1864) born in Dorpat (Tartu) ; 6) Adolf Marx (1838-1904) born in Stettin; 7) Johannes Höhn (1854-1938) born in Neuberg, Odessa region; 8) Father Konrad Keller (1857-1925) born in Sulz, Odessa region; 9) Pastor Johannes Schleunig (1879-1961) born in Neu-Norka, Volga region; 10) Dr. Karl Stumpp (1899-1982) born in Alexanderhilf, Odessa region; 11) Dr. Joseph Height (1909-1979) born in Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan; 12) Swjatoslaw Richter (1915-1997) born in Shitomir; and 13) Boris Rauschenbach (1915-2001) born in Petrograd.
